This was our first yarn. 100% Kid Mohair yarn. They said it could not be done! Two plies of “silk-like” soft, luxurious, kid mohair. The sheen is unbelievable and the drape is fantastic. This yarn works well for weaving, both as warp and weft, and is a delight to knit.

Duet
Soft, lofty combination of fine wool and kid mohair, not the usual blend but a mechanical blend, one strand of kid mohair that is plied with a single strand of fine wool. The yarn has a slightly textured appearance with the luster of the mohair and is the perfect compliment to the softness and loft of the wool. Great for knitting or weaving.

Harmony
Just the right combination if you like luxury. What could be better than softness, loft and sheen? Try Harmony. It has the same construction as Duet with the exception of the single ply of fine wool is blended with silk. This yarn is also great for knitting and weaving.

Four Play
No, it is not what you think. Randall decided we needed a yarn without mohair and while Sherry thought it was just in the planning stages, a 100 pound box arrived on the doorstep! Wow, another type of yarn to dye and it has been a challenge. After 10 years of dyeing mohair and mohair/wool, suddenly wool/silk presents itself with different characteristics. An experimental yarn has become so sought after that we are having to adjust our schedules to accommodate another yarn in the dyepot.

Hand Dyed Yarn
As a word of caution, please order carefully when estimating your yarn needs. Hand dying is an “imperfect art”. Subtle variations in skeins of the same dye lot are not unusual. When using hand dyed yarns, it is good practice to knit from more than one ball at a time and to warp using more than one skein at a time. We also suggest that you not expect different dye lots to be exactly the same or that the same color combination will be exactly the same on different yarn. We enjoy using these one of a kind yarns and hope that you will as well.
